Dear Diary

Dear Diary

I usually get up at 7 o’clock. I always have cocoa for breakfast but I don’t eat anything because I am not hungry in the morning. When I finish with my tasty cocoa, I brush my teeth and wash my face. After that I get dressed. I usually wear a sweater and blue jeans but when I have PE I wear a hoodie. I leave home at 7.30. My mum drives me to school because I live far from school. When I come to school, I usually talk to my friends about school and other stuff.

School starts at 8.00. After three school lessons I eat. We often have a sandwich with ham and cheese and some juice. I don’t like that because the bread is hard to chew. School finishes at 1.10 pm. When it finishes, I happily run to my mum’s car.

When I come home, I wash my hands and after that I play video games for an hour. Then I quickly do my homework because at 4.00 pm I have to go to music school. It starts at 4.45. When I come back home, I eat lunch. I usually have cooked beef or pork with some rice and salad. I also have some vegetables like tomatoes or carrots. Sometimes I have fries. I love that lunch. After lunch my mum usually washes the dishes or irons. At home I like to lie down on the sofa and watch TV but I hate when my mum yells at me for watching TV too long. At 9.00 I have dinner. I usually have a tuna sandwich and an orange. I love tuna. It is my favourite fish.

At 10.00 I go to sleep. I dream about going to Egypt and becoming an archaeologist. I would like to find ancient tombs and some other things ancient Egyptians had.

Dear Diary

My day usually starts at 6.30 when my mum comes into my room and shouts: ‘’It’s time to get up.’’ I often cover my head with the blanket hoping that I’m just dreaming. In the morning I’m not in good mood. I often feel like a zombie. After I wash my face with cold water, I’m ready to talk to other people in the house. Sometimes, if I’m hungry in the morning, I eat some cereals with milk or Nutella on bread and cocoa.

At 7.30 my mum drives me and my bother to school and then she goes to work. When I go to school in the afternoon I walk alone. I like school because I have a lot of friends there and we have fun during the break between two classes. Some classes are very interesting and the time passes quickly, but some are boring and I can’t wait for them to end. School finishes at 1.00 pm and then I go home.

The first thing that I do when I come home is to change my clothes, then I eat lunch and write homework. At 4.00 pm my parents and my brother come home. I forget to say that the time before they come is the best because I’m alone and no one bothers me. My mum works in publishing and my dad works in the shipyard. When they are home I don’t have my privacy any more. My parents are tired from work and they make some coffee and have a rest. My brother Matej talks about school all the time.

In the afternoon I haven’t got a lot of free time because my brother and I train karate and we have training. I love karate very much and training makes me happy. Sometimes my brother and I train at home and we have fun but we also often quarrel because he steals my things and he breaks them. I get angry with my parents because they say that he is little and younger than me and they let him get away with it. The next weekend I have a state tournament in karate in Biograd. My biggest wish is to come home with a medal and I dream that one day I’m a state champion in my category.

After all this writing I feel very tired. It’s already 11.30 pm and it’s quiet in the house. Everybody is already sleeping and so should I. Good night. I hope I’ll have a nice dream. Maybe about winning the tournament.
