| 2016-01-12 17:25:00 The Past Simple We use the Past Simple to describe actions which started and finished in the past and we know when they happened. How do we form the Past Simple? We add "–d" or "–ed" to the base forms (infinitives) of verbs. These verbs are called regular verbs.
Irregular verbs change forms (they DO NOT have the "-ed" ending) in the Past Simple and you have to learn them by heart.
